Tomorrow: Protest Over DC's Decision To Recognize Same-Sex Marriages

Anti-marriage equality activists will gather at Washington, DC's Freedom Plaza tomorrow to protest the recent city council vote to recognize same-sex marriages from other states.
“We’ve got to really rally together," event coordinator Derek McCoy said. "You’re not just talking one ethnic group. Everybody has to come together and really work on this issue collectively." The rally runs from 10 a.m. to noon EDT at the Freedom Plaza, which is across the street from the Wilson Building. “We’re calling on all clergy, all concerned citizens, people from around the region and in the area to come to D.C. to make your voice known," McCoy said.
The city council's decision is subject to review from Congress, who has final say over DC's legislation.
