Stevie Wonder, Do I Do, 1982. My favorite Stevie Wonder track (and that's saying something), Do I Do was the summer song of that year, delivering ten minutes of beautiful, breezy jazz disco, ably assisted by the legendary Dizzy Gillespie. I have a vivid memory of dancing to this - in the sun, on an ocean pier, during t-dance in Key West. The year that happened is foggy, however. From the album Original Musiquarium I, the single version reached #5 in the UK, #7 here, but the edit cut out Stevie's uncharacteristic rap at the end of the 12". Play this loud, the orchestration is amazing.
